Supporting Black-Owned Businesses
The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro began the Black Investments in Greensboro (BIG) Equity Fund to leave a lasting and ongoing impact on the Black community in the City of Greensboro.
This fund is an endowment dedicated to health disparities, education, the digital divide, and entrepreneurs. They’re passionate about Black-owned businesses receiving training on how to digitally market their companies and setting aside funds to help support their endeavors. To display this we highlighted well-known scenes around Greensboro and the surrounding community with intentional imagery and drone footage.
We incorporated that broader footage into meaningful and informative talking head interviews with donors and committee members.
And since the BIG Equity Fund focuses on health, education, technology and small businesses, we also got to capture b-roll of those fields within Greensboro, tying together their passions into one package.
The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro has such a heart for the lives and futures of the Black community and shows this through their mission, vision and efforts. Through this fund they hope to level the playing field so future generations of Black-owned businesses thrive for years to come.
It’s beyond inspiring to see a community come together and invest in itself. Financial education, tools, and resources are for everyone. We continue to enjoy watching as The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro supports their town and its people.
