Hope

Novo Nordisk
This heartfelt piece combines realism and 3D animation to build excitement for Novo Nordisk’s groundbreaking expansion, highlighting that they’re about more than just manufacturing: they’re in the business of hope.

With a major announcement on the horizon, Danish company Novo Nordisk wanted to capture the excitement and global impact of their upcoming expansion.

While this is the largest single life science investment in North Carolina history, this piece is about more than just expansion or investment. It’s a historic announcement because of what their growth represents: more lives changed for the better.

It takes collaboration driven with passion to bring an impactful project like this to life. Like any major endeavor, so much preparation takes place even before the announcement is made. Architectural firm Hanbury lead the way in designing the new site and Strategic Communications Agency Eckel & Vaughan used their public relations skills surrounding the big reveal.

We collaborated with both of these groups during the creative process and leading up to the unveiling event.

Our team captures drone video of the construction site to later layer animation over.

Hanbury provided the initial drawings, floorplans and CAD files to guide our creative process. Using their digital renderings as inspiration, we modeled our 3D animation after their work.

The creative style of the video incoprated many types of media. With these variations and an energetic edit, we combined the 3D animation with realism to allow viewers to truly grasp the grandeur of the new space, but more symbolically- the grandeur of the impact it represents, both locally with job creation and globally with lives changed.

We wanted those lives to be at the center of the story: the faces of struggle and triumph, the stories of individuals who are impacted by life-sustaining medicines.

Just as Novo Nordisk focuses on their patients first, we aimed to have their stories front and center.

Not only is there a window into patient stories throughout, we also see a glimpse into the people who make the company run. Whether they’re in research, construction, or manufacturing, each person’s role makes an impact.

If there’s one thing we love around here, it’s an anthem piece. So many things go into them: the heart, the story, the why behind the story. Just like there’s so much more to marketing than selling a product, there’s so much more to telling stories than a list of events or moments in time.

It involves capturing the feeling behind those moments, connecting them together, and inspiring individuals to celebrate a cause.

We’re glad we could do that here.

Is the square-footage of the new space impressive? Of course.

We’re far more impressed thinking about the individuals who will benefit from the work that goes on in that space – and that’s what we wanted to shine through in each cut of this project.
