The Independence Fund
The Independence Fund is committed to the ongoing support of veterans in their physical, mental and emotional well-being. This narrative animation outlines their work to support law enforcement and first responders in minimizing veteran suicide rates.

As a veteran-owned company, this project for The Independence Fund holds special meaning for our team. The organization works tirelessly to support veterans’ mental health, as well as their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

How The Independence Fund Supports Veterans

The Independence Fund provides critical support to veterans who’ve returned home with life-altering injuries. But their work doesn’t stop there. They also offer resources to veteran caregivers, first responders, and law enforcement officers—building a holistic support network for those who have served.

Our animation focused specifically on law enforcement support. The organization trains officers to handle crisis situations with care and empathy, aiming to reduce suicide rates among veterans. Importantly, many of these officers are veterans themselves. That shared experience builds immediate trust and helps struggling veterans feel seen, heard, and understood.

Storytelling With Purpose and Impact

This animation let us explore deeply emotional themes through expressive visuals, meaningful voice-over, and thoughtful direction. In fact, the actor who portrayed Ronald is a veteran himself. His performance was shaped by real-life experience with friends who struggled with mental health, and it added a layer of powerful authenticity to the project.

The narrative includes practical, educational guidance as well. Viewers learn how first responders and family members can support veterans in crisis. We also highlighted the steps The Independence Fund takes to empower those on the front lines of veteran support.

Raising Awareness and Saving Lives

The response to this project has been overwhelmingly positive. We’re honored to help shine a light on this vital mission and to play a small part in reducing the stigma around veteran mental health.
