Ojetta

The Holt Brothers Foundation
As the winners of our 2016 Christmas giving non-profit campaign, we worked with the Holt Foundation to share their passion and commitment to help children who have a parent with cancer.

After losing their mother, Ojetta V. Holt-Shoffner, to cancer, Torry and Terrence Holt made a promise—to honor her memory by helping children who have a parent facing cancer. Out of that commitment came The Holt Brothers Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting families through compassion, connection, and community.

The Vision

From the beginning, the Foundation’s mission has been deeply personal. They wanted to create a legacy that reflected their mother’s spirit of strength and love. Through programs like Camp Kesem and KidsCan!, as well as their annual Flag Football Fundraising Tournament, the Holt Brothers Foundation provides emotional and practical support for children navigating the challenges of having a parent with cancer.

The Creative Journey

Over the course of a year, our team at Amazing Studios immersed ourselves in the heart of the Foundation’s work. We attended events, met families, and saw firsthand how their programs transform lives. These experiences culminated in a powerful short film, Ojetta, named in honor of the woman who inspired it all.

The film captures the emotion and purpose behind the Foundation’s mission, blending heartfelt interviews with real-life moments of hope and connection. It serves not only as a tribute to Ojetta’s enduring legacy but also as an invitation for others to support this vital cause.

The Impact

Through this collaboration, we helped share a message that continues to resonate across the community—love and service can turn loss into lasting change. The Holt Brothers Foundation reminds us that even through grief, purpose and hope can thrive.

Final Thoughts

When storytelling honors both heart and purpose, it moves people to action. If you want to tell a story that inspires and uplifts your audience, let’s make it amazing.
