Just miles from the city and minutes from shopping and entertainment, Fuquay-Varina is an incredible place for both business and pleasure.
A longstanding client of ours, we’ve worked with them to develop economic development content in the past. With that history, they were due for a fresh new video that would capture the recent growth and expansion of the town as a thriving place to live, work, and play.
The Creative Approach
We wanted the look and feel of the video to capture the energy of such a dynamic community and business environment. While it needed to feel personal to the town, we ultimately designed it to appeal to people outside of the community considering opening up shop in the area.
Nothing connects with an audience like seeing people’s faces and hearing about their experiences. This is why we chose to focus on local business owners, each one on their ‘home turf’.
Seeing the owner of a beer brand in his own brewery surrounded by b-roll of their production process and people enjoying their product goes so much further than a simple talking head video.
Pair that with even more owner stories in bold, direct-to-camera deliveries and it helps to capture the impact of the opportunity they’ve found there and the jobs they’ve created.
A Collaborative Process
It’s not every day a project includes coordinating and collaborating with over a dozen companies during the production process.
While this was part of the creative challenge, it was also the creative solution. Seeing such a wide variety of business owners who all chose the same community was exactly what we’re after.
We were happy to reach out and coordinate with each business, scheduling shoot dates, times, and locations without holding up their day-to-day operations.
When all the things you want to highlight are a reality in the lives of local business owners, it’s not hard for the folks we filmed to share why they like doing business there.
