Thanks to our ongoing relationship with the Town of Fuquay-Varina, we had experience collaborating with them to create two award-winning animated State of the Town Addresses in previous years. After making this switch from community meetings and traditional print marketing strategies to video formats, the town has enjoyed great success with reaching their intended audience and creating positive buzz about the town. For this project, the town wanted to continue their trend of pushing the envelope in municipality communication and they trusted us to make it happen.
They still desired a visual format, but instead of creating another animation, we pitched some live action ideas. With such a wealth of positive news and updates to share, we knew we would need to continue to keep things light-hearted and interesting to keep viewers engaged. After some clever brainstorming, we decided that a game show format was the perfect way to convey lots of information in a short time– thus ‘Quiz the Quay’ your favorite, local, ‘State of the Town’ game show was created!
Filmed in the brand new Fuquay-Varina Art Center, we got to show off new development and support for the arts. With cameos from local celebrities and a script full of town inside jokes, the video was a hit when it was released on social media.
