There’s nothing quite like the adventure of turning a gorgeous backyard into a movie set for a day, filming with a fun cast, and putting everything back where you found it before the evening comes.
This was just part of the fun while making Visit Raleigh’s latest campaign with our agency friends over at Avenir Bold.
This project was a follow-up to a previous campaign that featured a similar creative idea —a spoof of a famous scene from Shaun of the Dead with a distinctive Edgar Wright editing style. Our mission was to capture Raleigh’s charm and present it as an enticing destination for both new and returning visitors, while highlighting fun things to do around the city.
The full 30-second ad shows a group of friends enjoying a backyard barbecue while planning their next travel adventure. We see a fun, dynamic portrayal of Raleigh, emphasizing both the city’s unique offerings and its appeal as a destination for group adventures. A 15-second cut down specifically highlights local dining spots.
With this releasing in Spring and running through the summer, we kept bright colors both in the set design and the talent wardrobe. The footage showcases Raleigh’s exciting and beautiful lifestyle scenes, capturing the essence of the city in a way that’s both engaging and relatable, inviting an East Coast crowd to think of Raleigh the next time they’re in the mood for an adventure.
