Helping Students Discover Their Path—Before Graduation
How do you prepare high school students for careers they don’t yet know exist? For NAF, the answer is simple: you bring the workplace into the classroom—and the classroom into the workplace. That concept, known as work-based learning, is reshaping how students explore their interests, gain real-world experience, and plan for the future.
To help communicate this innovative approach, NAF turned to us to create an animated explainer video. Our goal was to take a big idea and make it accessible and compelling for a wide audience—including students, parents, and potential employer partners.
Animation That Clarifies and Inspires
We designed the work-based learning video to be clear, engaging, and informative. Using bright visuals and smooth motion design, the animation follows the journey of a student navigating the many choices ahead. Rather than feeling overwhelmed, the student gains clarity through real-life exposure to different industries.
The video explains how work-based learning helps students:
- Explore careers through internships and mentorships
- Gain valuable experience while still in high school
- Build confidence by developing real-world skills
- Make better decisions about their education and career path
A Win for Students—and Employers
The animation also highlights how this model benefits employers. Companies can identify promising talent early and help train students in the exact skills they’ll need to succeed. It creates a pipeline of future-ready professionals who are already familiar with the company’s values and workflow.
This mutual benefit makes work-based learning more than just an educational innovation—it’s a workforce development strategy.
Crafting the Video
From script to storyboard to final animation, we worked closely with the NAF team to ensure the messaging aligned with their mission. The pacing, tone, and visuals were designed to reflect both the accessibility and forward-thinking spirit of the program.
Whether it’s shown in a classroom, at a school board meeting, or during an employer pitch, the video makes a strong case for why work-based learning matters.
Final Thoughts
This animated explainer helps bring NAF’s mission to life, clearly showing how work-based learning opens doors and builds confidence for the next generation. We’re proud to support a project that helps students #BeFutureReady—and we believe video is one of the best ways to spread that message.
